There is no doubt that Joseph and Mary, upon discovering that Jesus was missing, were gravely concerned and worried to death about His safety and well-being. Any parent would be. I am sure that Joseph took charge of the search effort and, with Mary at his side, retraced their steps as they combed Jerusalem day and night looking for the child.
