Even if they taught a new dogma, they can't be accepted. Fr. Groeschel talks about some of the well known private revelations. He talks about the story of Sister Margaret Mary and the revelations to her about the Sacred heart of Jesus. He also talks about the private revelations to Sister Faustina about the Divine Mercy. These revelations are not infallible. They don't have to be accepted.

God's Mercy Comes Into The World

Fr. Groeschel looks at the mercy of God coming into the world based on the humility of God. He tells the account of the birth of Christ. It was the coming of Divine Mercy. He looks at the story of the nativity from their viewpoint. He talks about the shepherds and wise men. It shows that God's mercy has no regard for what people think is important. Divine Mercy was first revealed to outcasts and gentiles in the most humble way. He says that if we want to understand the mercy of God your must go among the outcasts. He talks about believing in the mercy of God. We only have to go among the poor to see one who knows God.

The Mercy Of God In Our Call To Salvation

Fr. Groeschel talks about God's mercy and the mystery of our salvation. We live in times of unbelief. He looks at is God using our life to bring others who are dear to us to salvation. He talks about only a small number receive and keeps the seed (from the parable story) growing in their heart. There is no escape from Divine Mercy and it's relentless. Without daily assistance from the Holy Spirit, we can fall away from God. The Mercy of God is waiting for us. He talks about mercy speaks to those who stray away. The more we work at our spiritual lives, the more we'll be aware of our shortcomings. We should ask for the mercy of God. If we're worried about others, we should believe in the mercy of God.

The Mercy Of God In The Church

Fr. Groeschel looks at the mercy of God in the church. He talks about it in the first five books of the Bible. He talks about is everyone trying to do what Christ wanted them to do. Everyone thinks that their church is "it." that it is the correct church. Churches usually get messed up. There is no perfect church. People have a list against the Catholic Church from it's very beginnings. He says that if your church is not going to have troubles, they may not know it but they would be saying that they're betting than Jesus and this is very dangerous. He talks about how Catholic equals universal. He talks about the trouble in the Church and the good and bad things about the church. There are good and bad people in the church history.

Fr. Groeschel looks at the Christ, the Mercy of God as the heart of this entire series. Everything builds up to this point. The mercy of God is revealed in Christ in His life, death, and resurrection. We can't blame God for the crucifixion. God tried to save the human race by conversion but it didn't work. He gives a good example of this and how Jesus paid the price for us. God is merciful. In Jesus, we see the mercy of God come and take flesh and blood. He talks about some conclusions we can learn from all of this.

The Mother Of Mercy

Fr. Groeschel talks about Mary, the mother of mercy. He talks about why we should make something special about the Mother of Jesus. He talks about Mary and she was the only person to apparently get Christ to change His mind. She was the only one that gave advice and direction to Jesus. Jesus was subject to them. He talks about why we speak of Mary as our Mother, mother of mercy, and asks for her prayers. He continues to talks about why we call her the blessed mother. And looks at her in revelations. He explains it. He looks at the triumph of God in Russia and their conversion. This is a time to speak of the Christian tradition of asking for the intercession of the mother of God.

Fr. Groeschel considers the beatitude "Blessed are the merciful" and our response to God's mercy. Our response to God's mercy should be mercy itself. It's mercy of forgiveness, generosity, returning good for evil. It is the name of God as he comes into the world. Jesus Christ is mercy. His followers must be outstanding for their mercy. We see a lack of mercy today for the poor, the aged, the destitute, and children. What is the response of the Christ to these kinds of things? Mercy! This last episode is based on the last chapter of the Pope's encyclical on Divine Mercy. He talks about the types of the poor. We live in a dangerous and trouble times in the world. He talks about how to be merciful and making amend to those you have hurt. He talks about examining the conscience and do we show mercy?

It seems that we are heading back towards paganism. We have loss the sense of the value of life. He talks about abortion and euthanasia. It is cruel and miserable times. He then looks at Pope John Paul II's letter on mercy and talks about it. We can't ignore the Beatitudes. The Bible is the way out. It is our life preserver. It's an instrument for the word of God to speak to us. He talks about the Biblical idea of mercy. The Jews had a small number of words but they had many words for mercy. He looks at these words and talks about them.

Does God like us? This is the topic that Fr. Groeschel looks at during this episode. God has gone to some great lengths to save our race. Fr. Groeschel talks about does God like us from the viewpoint of Divine Mercy. There is evil in the world and Fr. Groeschel looks at how it came into being. The idea of original sin has not gone away. It still exist! People have failed God and they still do so today. He says that we will get through. Why? Because God still loves and cares for us.
