2021-09-03 - (Best of) Samuel Gregg - Reason, Faith and the Struggle for Western Civilization
After the latest Vatican news, Barbara's guest in the interview segment is Samuel Gregg, research director at the Acton Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sam talks about the genius of Western civilization with its unique synthesis of reason and faith, and how that synthesis is under attack from the East by radical Islam (faith without reason) and from within the West itself by aggressive secularism (reason without faith). Sam shares how the naïve and increasingly common assumption that reason and faith are incompatible is simply at odds with the facts of history. You will not want to miss this conversation!

This week, however, once again my guests in the interview segment are from the hugely successful crowd-funded TV mini-series on the life of Christ, The Chosen! For years we’ve wanted to do her show and mine live and together and this week we had the chance to do both. So don’t miss a minute of our fun conversation.
